In 1958, grandparents Otello and Lucia opened a small, cosy inn in Marta, overlooking Lake Bolsena, where farmers and fishermen went to relax after their workday with a glass of the local Cannaiola wine and the famous baked, tasty and filling golden fried snacks that Lucia prepared, together with Otello's the fish soup. Over the years, their work, their passion, has seen the inn transformed into what is now the "Da Otello restaurant"where fresh fish from the nearby lake is served daily.
In the kitchen, the fish is prepared along with some traditional dishes, delicious dishes that reinterpret seafood cuisine classics. Otello's seafood soup is served in steaming shells with fresh fish, while crispy fried snacks are always a good offer for customers.
Our welcome is our vocation. So much so that in 2000 we opened our own hotel: seven unique rooms, lovingly cared for in every detail, that are now our flagship.
58 years later, Da Otello is run by sisters: Loretta, Roberta, Serena, and Paola, accompanied by our tireless parents, Joseph and Rosanna, we continue running "Restaurant Locanda Da Otello" with the same passion as our grandparents Otello and Lucia before us.
